Durability and mechanical characteristics: yellowish-colored sapwood and reddish heartwood. Low hardness, resistance to insect attacks and low fungus due to sapwood, good for heartwood. Main uses: building, road, hydraulic and naval structures, internal and external fixtures, furniture, furnishings, barrels, floors, packaging.
